Verify your number, link your Chief of Staff account, and text Alex like any other contact. Voice notes supported.
Before you start
A phone number you own (mobile, can be a virtual WhatsApp Business number)
A Chief of Staff Solo, Team, or Company plan (Free is web-only)

Steps

Open Chief of Staff settings
From the web app, go to Settings → Channels → WhatsApp. Click Connect.

Enter your number
Type the phone number you want Alex to message. We'll send a verification code via WhatsApp — enter it to confirm ownership.
Alex uses the WhatsApp Business API. Outbound messages are sent from a verified business number — you'll see "Chief of Staff by LearnAI" as the contact name.

Save Alex as a contact
On first verification Alex sends a welcome message. Tap and save the number as "Alex" in your contacts so it shows up next to your real ones.

Start texting
Text Alex whatever you'd ask from the web. Voice notes work — Alex transcribes and responds. Alex replies in the language you send.

(Optional) Add Alex to a group chat
For Team / Company plans, add Alex's number to a group chat with your cofounders or ops team. Alex responds to @mentions in groups, with the shared business memory context.
Troubleshooting
Verification code never arrived
Check that WhatsApp is installed and up to date on the phone with the verified number. Resend from Settings → Channels → WhatsApp → Resend.
Alex isn't replying in my language
Alex replies in whatever language your most recent message used. If your WhatsApp keyboard auto-translates, set the profile locale manually in Settings → Profile.
I want to stop WhatsApp messages
Settings → Channels → WhatsApp → Disconnect. Alex immediately stops sending to that number. Web chat continues.
Does it work with multiple numbers?
Solo: one number per profile. Team / Company: one number per seat. Shared business memory across all of them.
